Hey there: I'm Joe Johnson, and the best word to describe me & my blog: Random.
I'm a proud 80s Baby, and I represent the "Old School" to the fullest. One of the ways I do that is through my music blogs...
* I Co-Run an Old School music tribute page: 80sbabymusic.tumblr.com (Music from 1980-1992)
* I also run my "coming of age" music blog: The Shiny Suit Music Era Blog: ssme.tumblr.com (Music from 1996-2002)
I am also the biggest Boy Meets World fan you'll ever meet; if you share my love for the show, then you might enjoy my tribute page: browncorymatthews.tumblr.com

This story dates back to Fall 2009, a day before the #LorainPlaya$ annual fantasy football draft…
I’m partnered up in beer pong with my homie Skolz, who, by nature is a quiet dude…but when he drinks, he gets real boisterous…and one of the things he’d like to say when he’s crunked is the N-Word. I had to break it down to him to say “Don’t say the N-word out loud…edit it to “N-Word”, so that you don’t get any funny looks”, to which he agrees.
So, we’re winning our game against my buddy Darr, and every time we hit a shot, we say “Hell Yeah, N-Word!”…but Darr is trying to figure out what we keep saying, and he blurts out with a question that changes the course of our history:
“Why do you guys keep saying “EDWARD”?!?
After this: Skolz & I look at each other, perplexed, and say: “Edward?!? (We’re saying) N-Word!” (If you sound N-Word & Edward out, they sound similar). We all have a good laugh and think nothing of it. Well, the next day at the draft, I had made some Buffalo Chicken Dip that Darr said looked like tuna, which it wasn’t, and after arguing this for awhile, he out of nowhere calls me a “Silly Edward”, which got a laugh out of everyone. Again, we go on about our business, until………
We get our league set-up after the draft, and I see that Skolz has named his team “Edward’s N-Words”…so I sense where this is going, and name my team “Edward PLEEZE”…and then it takes on a life of its own as everyone names their team with something “Edwards” in it.
Fast-Forward almost 2 years later to today, and The #TeamEdwards movement (No Twilight), has taken off & expanded on its own vocabulary; I’ve got homies in Dallas using it, girls in New Jersey asking where the good Edwards are…and then of course you have the #EdwardLovers (White women who love themselves some Chocolate), Silly Edwards, Edward Please, and so on.
…I hope this clears up any confusion on when I use this word in a post or when addressing someone. It’s all in good fun (and is a way for White people to say the N-Word without getting beat up, haha).
